Tech Works Engineering Inc. (TWE) has announced the release of their high-lift valve springs and titanium retainers for Subaru’s SOHC and DOHC 2.5L engines. Built to TWE’s design specifications, the SOHC kit complements TWE’s Stage II Street/Rally Camshafts. Maximum safe lift pressure has been increased by 60%, allowing for lifts of well over 0.060”and eliminating the danger of coil bind. A 25% increase in seat pressure ensures sealing with forced air applications. The titanium retainers, also built to TWE’s specifications are almost half of the weight of the stock pieces, reducing valve-train weight by over 12 grams per valve (with springs). All parts are available now, for both SOHC and DOHC EJ25 applications, and are sold in kits or separately.
